- Scope and enforcement
The conditions of tour reservation will be effective upon presentation of the tour program, tour reservation and tour service through our website, with Phou Iu Travel & Eco-tourism Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as “Phou Iu” or “we”) as the announcers of these conditions, who are the tour sellers to you are the tour subscriber (hereinafter referred to as “customers” or “you”).
- Condition for tour reservation
To reserve a tour through Phou Iu’s website is only a declaration of intention to travel with Phou Iu. It will not be a confirmation of a definite trip until you receive a contact from the staff of Phou Iu to confirm or notify the payment of the tour package and other services (if any) and pay the rest of the tour fee within 1-2 days before the tour at the Phou Iu office or other offices where the customers will receive a document confirming the tour reservation along with a receipt from Phou Iu’s staff.
- Presentation of tour programs
- Tourist attractions, Images and descriptions of the tour on the website may be different in order to understand the tourist attractions as a whole at various points. To present the Images of tourist attractions, activities and descriptions may not correspond 100% to the actual Images when you visit to that place due to changes in tourist attractions, nature, culture or tourist season.
- Prices of tour program may be subject to change at any time, may be due to price determination by the government or the economic situation is unstable, causing the price of goods in the market to increase. Phou Iu may reserve the right to notify prices on the website that may not match the Phou Iu’s staff. When the customer pays, the customer is asked to adhere to the confirmation document received from Phou Iu’s staff.
- Tour reservation
You can book the tours by phone, WhatsApp, email or any other way by specifying the name and code of the tour you are considering. For the existing tour program, Phou Iu will be arranged according to the Items. As the tours that you propose or define yourself, Phou Iu will provide more details about the tour program and service for customers. After agreeing on the tour program, Phou Iu will send a form or details to customer to confirm the tour program, number of people in the group, price and etc.
- Deposit and payment service
- You must pay at least 50% of the deposit in advance or as notified by Phou Iu’s staff, after the customer has confirmed the tour within 1-2 days from the date of booking the tour through the online payment system of Phou Iu. All the rest must be paid in advance 1-2 days before tour departure through the online payment system or by cash or credit card at Phou Iu Office in Luang Namtha Province or other offices.
- Payment by credit card will include a 3% service fee (pay through the Tab system), payment by PayPal will include a 3.5% service fee (pay through the PayPal system following this link: https://paypal.me/phouiutravel) or bank transfer will include the transfer fee of the financial institution representative. - Tour confirmation
Phou Iu requires the customer or the group leader to meet Phou Iu’s staff at the office to reconfirm your reservation and introduce the tour program in brief, including advice on preparing various aspects before departure. If you can’t come to meet our staff, you may contact our staff by phone, email, WhatsApp or whatever to us in a day before tour departure.
- Tour cancellation policy
- Customers can cancel the tour booking within 72 hours before departure, excluding the operating fee 7% of the tour purchase price. Customers can also cancel within 24 hours at any time but excluding 3.5% financial transaction fee via credit card, PayPal and bank transfer.
- If the customer cancels before departure within 72 hours, the customer will receive a full refund but excluding the 3.5% financial transaction fee through credit card, PayPal and bank transfer.
- In case the customer is sick, the customer must have a written certificate from the doctor, so customers can cancel before tour departure within 12 hours but excluding the 3.5% financial transaction fee through credit card, PayPal and bank transfer.
- Tour cancellation due to various reasons by “Phou Iu, the customer will receive 100% refund without any financial or operational transaction fee.
- Notification of tour cancellation may be notified by phone, WhatsApp or by email. If Phou Iu does not receive advance notice from the customer according to the above-mentioned deadline, it is considered that the tour reservation has not been canceled.
- Early cancellation or within the cancellation period, the customer will receive a refund as agreed within 7 business days.
- Traveling with children
- Children can participate in the tour and must be accompanied by a family or an adult (team leader, father or mother) if they are under 14 years of age. With the following details: children between 1-5 years old are not included in the tour price; 6-9 years are calculated at 50% and 10 years old and above are calculated in full according to the tour price.
- Traveling with children in adventure tour to Phou Iu can be challenging because the tour destination may journey by water-land, there is white water or mountain climbing in dense forests in sometimes. Therefore, if it is hiking, camping, or kayaking, you should hire the village guides or assistant guide to help the children.
- Tourism service
- If there are any uncontrollable medical events, the tour guide may need to change the tour route during the trip. Phou Iu would like to consider it as the right to implement for the safety of property and life of customers.
- Mainly, Phou Iu organizes challenging and adventure tour by water-land, there is white water or mountain climbing in dense forests in sometimes, there may be a risk in the event of accident. Phou Iu will help until the end to bring the customer out of the area and in case of illness will be sent to the hospital as soon as possible. The costs are the responsibility of the customer.
- During the tour service, if the customer is not satisfied with the service, tourist attraction or other, customer may inform the tour guide about the problem as soon as possible so tour guide will be available to solve the problem on time. If the customer is still not satisfied within the end of the trip, Phou Iu may ask the customer to send us a comment by email as soon as possible to solve the problem.
