Jungle Exclusive 3 Days Adventure Trek in Nam Ha NPA

Trip overview
Jungle exclusive trek will take you into the untouched jungle of the Nam Ha Protected Area with an expert local guide, you will be exposed to and learn about jungle survival skills such as setting up camp and building a traditional hunter’s self-made shelter from banana leaves and bamboo. The camp site will give us opportunities to immerse ourselves nearby the river of the beautiful scenery, all while learning about medicinal plants and wildlife story. You will also have the chance to learn fire-making skills and cook food from local species collected along the way, fishing, or frog hunting. This will be a chance to try our hands at jungle survival through an authentic experience.

Itinerary
Day 1: Nam Ha-Camp 1 (Jungle Camp)
At 9:00 am, meeting the group and tour guide briefly in the office, then we get on Tuk Tuk to the morning market, where we food supplies. Trekking point starts from Ban Nam Ha, here get a local guide who is well known the trail, herb, plant, wildlife track in that region. Then we begin trek through cultivation for 10 minutes before getting into the untouched jungle of the Nam Ha NPA. Soon we climb up the next mountain and hike through the dense jungle which you may encounter and hear some of wildlife or just see their track, picnic lunch will be stopping on the way when we are hangry. The guides will share their ancestral knowledges about the traditional use of medicinal plants, edible leaves, teach us to set the traditional hunter camp and preparing a delicious jungle food, using the supplies and resources of the jungle for a truly unique experience. After dinner enjoy the stars, seat by a campfire which is a perfect setting for exchanging nice conversations.

Day 2: Camp 1-Camp 2 (River Side Camp)
Early morning, you can enjoy animal screaming as alum clock before breakfast. Trek will cross to the hill and then along the ridge-line with beautiful forest that is cool and shady until lunch. After lunch we continue hiking downhill slightly to the stream, where there is lot of canopies from huge from trees, so we will be arriving to the camp site before sun sets, it should be time to swim. The guides will share their ancestral knowledges about the traditional use of medicinal plants, edible leaves, teach us to set the traditional hunter camp and preparing a delicious Khmu jungle food, using the supplies and resources of the jungle for a truly unique experience.

Day 3: Camp 2-Nalan-Chalernsouk
In the morning, we can get up early to enjoy many kinds of animals singing to another from the higher mountain tops around the campsite. After breakfast, prepare the belonging we’ll cross the Nam Ha River and walk to another side of the riverbank before we get to visit Ban Nalan. Village award ASEAN Standard of Community Based Tourism 2018, where we will learn about Khmu lifestyle, culture, and traditions. Then there is a hike uphill through forest. Traditional lunch will be prepared on the forest path. Thereafter, we will have an easy two-hour hike down the mountain slope until we arrive at Ban Chalernsouk, where a Tuk Tuk driver will pick us back to Luang Namtha.
